Queensboro Bridge from 59th St

Oil on Canvas, 18" x 12"

May, 2005 14.25 hours.

The Queensboro Bridge (aka the 59th street bridge) offers some of the prettiest views of Manhattan, and is quite a looker itself. This is a late afternoon view looking east; in the background you can see a support tower for the cable car leading to Roosevelt Island, and further to the left smokestacks from one of the several power plants that line the East River.
