Three Fountains

Oil on Canvas, 18" x 13"

January, 1998

Fountains were ubiquitous in Moustiers; there were at least twenty public fountains for a town of six hundred. This set of three is caught at the hour when the sunlight hits the very bottom, setting up some nice reflections from the submerged limestone. Up top is a row of communal flowerpots.
